Tonight, my youngest “graduates” from Middle School. Whoa!! When did that happen?!?
He is such a joy - a real light in my life! Even though he also causes me aggravation, irritation, and frustration, the joy is far far far greater than any of those.
Congratulations for making it through the horrible place that is Middle School and for surviving some of the horrendous teachers he’s had at school. A summer of D3, Gears of War, LoL, and whatever other game takes your fancy is well deserved!

So much I want to achieve today. Better get on it.
1. Put stuff in the crock pot for Korean beef tacos. http://www.mylifeasamrs.com/2011/09/crockpot-korean-beef-tacos.html
2. Complete registration and online orientation at Metro - I think I may be able to register for classes soon - even if they don’t start till August. Have to get it done before I go to California.
3. Go to the gym. Can’t stop just cause Mark isn’t there.
4. Wash my hair - it’s been tooooo many days!!
5. Grocery shopping - this seems to be my eternal chore.
6. Check out The Walking Dead on XBox while it’s still daylight.
At some point here, kids will come home and my life will not be my own.
Right - like I said, better get on it!
I watched this earlier in the week. Went in with a great deal of skepticism. The critics have been nothing less than scathing.
But I loved it. And I cannot get it out of my head now. The critics missed the point completely. The film is about the suffering that was involved in the ‘greatest romance of the 1900s’ — and not just that, it’s about a woman of the present day that finds a strength in the story that is beautiful. She makes a huge decision for herself and breaks free.
The script is gorgeous. The directing by +Madonna is spectacular. Abbie Cornish gives a magical performance.
And the soundtrack is absolutely fabulous.
I loved it. Loved it.
It’s not fast paced. It is a quiet, graceful film. I might have to buy it so I can watch it again on quiet afternoons.
Sunday is a day I like to watch movies that I...
